Lex is writing this twisty crime thriller right now. The plot (and title) are staying under wraps for now, but check back for more details in late 2024.
Lex is adapting into a novel her feature screenplay Impact (which remains in development as a parallel project), seeking a home for some of the material she had to cut from the script. With the plot and characters long-developed, Lex's focus in the adaptation will be vividly capturing the scientific realities of her fictitious aircrash scene.
This is Lex's long-gestating female-led actioner that opens with a leap onto a high-speed train and never really lets up from there. With something to say about the opportunities for corruption in government surveillance, Code Blue ain't all stunts and hand-to-hand fight grunts, though. Think: Bourne Identity meets The Matrix.
In her sophomore effort as director, Lex will direct her own script in this short narrative film about a crime gone badly wrong. With only one location and two speaking characters, Song will be filmed in Los Angeles on a Covid-delayed date in mid 2025.
The third of Lexia Snowe's writing-directing projects under her filmmaking banner Benthic Pictures. Midnight Oil is a single-location action suspense film that monopolizes on the claustrophobia of the modern office. A droll co-protagonist leavens the main action with Coen-Brothers-style dark humor. Principal photography has been Covid-delayed to the tentative date of Summer 2025.
This project will bring together Lex's parallel passions for literature and tech. Further details will be released in coming years (yes, years... development time for this project will be long), but for now know that Lex is expanding on her 2019 idea to feed you a novel through your phone.
